Same problem with version 1.4.6, also.

That's an excellent guide, unfortunately, it wasn't able to help me with the buzzing sound. Setting compatibility simply crashes my game. Everything else in the guide worked for me though. I'm able to use my monitor's internal speakers to avoid the issue, but they don't sound nearly as good.

You should always post your system specifications when making topics like this, or nobody can help you, except by throwing random guesses. My random guess is that you have Windows 11. Have you tried these suggestions:

Just made a tool to sort this very issue. it requires some testing to be done and if people here are ready to do it then please visit this thread and follow my last post's instructions there

The solution for Windows 11: go to your sound control panel, select your sound output of choice (for example your laptop speakers), open it, go to properties, select 16 bit 48000 Hz, and deselect any sound enhancement (there should be 2). Then you'll be fine.

The porting unfortunately has been done badly and there is no way around it. At least now it's playable. The music is still enjoyable.

On Windows 10 try to do the same, like disabling any sound enhancement and lowering the audio quality.
If it doesn't work, a solution that I found online but it didn't work for Win 11 was to enter the properties of the launcher file in the local files and force it to be executed like Windows Vista.
