I am extremly sorry for the bug that you had to encounter with my audio mod and I will look into my mod's files and check why exactly this issue even occurs. I would have looked into this bug almost immediately and a bit earlier if you had posted in the mod page's comment section itself.
Anyways thanks for mentioning about it here and this is quite a serious bug too from what you are saying. can you tell me which installer did you use to install this mod. is it the Modern PC installer or the Old PC installer ?
Thanks for looking into it! Ive used the old installer since i didnt want to install another piece of software
Also you mentioned that you got stuck the second time as well and I am assuming that's happening with this mod installed ? correct ?
I am not sure if Vile peaks even had a pre rendered cutscene. my guess is that this bug could be from the HD mod which may still have some few unfixed bugs in some areas.
