Save editing + achievements

So when this came out on Steam a couple of months ago someone said, pretty quickly if i recall correctly, that they'd used a save editor or something similar to be able to say give themselves infinite CP, Gil, or unlockd Stage 10 of the Crystarium before beating Orphan etc.

1) Does anyone know how to do this?

2) Would it invalidate achievements etc? I'm not super fussed and I don't want to break my game in the vein of infinite CP/Gil etc but just unlock Stage 10 of the Crystarium etc.

It wouldn't invalidate anything, as much as it should because you would then be cheating. You can do it as easy as using a trainer. Even CE.

As for unlocking the Crystarium, it would require some more deeper hacking, than what the usual trainer does. But honestly, why even go that route? Orphan is easy enough...

Oh it's not for any difficulty i'm having, just if it was easy enough it'd be kinda nice to have Orphan and all that as the end of my playthrough, rather than doing them, then doing the missions I haven't yet done etc. I'm right before Orphan now, just fighting the two "bosses" with Growth Egg (sp?) for 64k per battle, 128k every 3-4 minutes, which feels weirdly in-efficient. I'm not deadset on getting Tier 3 weapons before Orphan but it'd be kinda nice to maybe have one :P

The jabberwocky and Vladislaus battle before the white corridor? It's one of the best CP farming spots in terms of CP/hour.

Yeah that's the one. I beat Barthandelus in Ch11, ran through to Orphan's Cradle then went back and got Growth Egg from Mission 55/NeoChu, and now I'm Jabberwocky/Vladislaus farming, so to speak. I've "maxed" my main roles for my characters atm but I'm working on the Secondary ones. I know for money etc people reccomend Sacrifice farming at the start of Orphan's Cradle, or Adamatoise (sp?) a little before then in Edenhall or something like that but I'll see. I'm not bothered about maxing out gear for all 6, just my primaries of Fang, Lightning and Hope (typical, i know :P)

save editing can be pretty tricky. with the trainer you can at least undo or disable the app and play as intended. this should help.
