Chapter 11 - should I be able to defeat Juggernauts easily?
I've played around 36 hours already. I'm at chapter 11, 18 missions completed so far (the mission completing is so boring btw).

I'm at Mah'habara at the moment and few mins ago I tried to fight Juggernaut. He killed the whole my party in 3 hits. Is it supposed to be like this, or is my party too weak?

I did the same thing as you. I thought to myself..."ooh...let's kill that SOB"...battle starts.....POW!....game over. I'm not saying it's impossible at lower levels, but it's hard as ♥♥♥♥.
Of course it will be there even after finishing the game, and you will run into some other juggers before you finish the game, so no rush :)

If you want to try it anyway, here are a few pointers:

-Equip fire and physical resist items. You will need them.

-Start in SYN/SYN/SAB, and get those buffs/debuffs going. If you have control over the Synergist, prioritize Protect, Barfire, Haste.

-If it gets debuffed, it will use steam clean, which removes all of them. If this happens, switch paradigm, and put them back on. Steam clean will take some time to charge, so use those seconds wisely.

-it can be launched (yaay!)

Thank you very much!

your fine, you get a chance in the end to come back to chap 11 much later in game .but this is the point where auto battle no longer works well.so i'd take a little time here and play with your paradigms com/rav/syn and see what works best

Debuff, debuff, debuff. As soon as it gets a few debuffs on it, it'll stop attacking to dispel them. You can build a huge chain gauge during this. Two cycles with steam cleaning and you can stagger it. Since it can be launched, staggering means instawin.
The tyrant in the upcoming tower will be a trickier thing, although you can skip that one since by that point it is an optional fight with zero rewards apart from getting the datalog entry early.

I learned this the hard way. After so many deaths, I decided to have Vanille spam debuffs in hope that Pain and Fog would stick so that it would stop attacking me. Surprisingly, when all the debuffs stuck after raising the chain gauge, this boss became almost a breeze to defeat.

I didn't want to fight him initially, I just wanted the treasure chest that sat behind him.

if I remember correctly that tryant is guarding a teleporter which gives you 4 chests, one of those chests has a very rare elixir. Is there a way to that teleporter without fighting it?

If you're still having trouble surviving even after equipping physical/fire resistance and using SYNs and SABs, you might try also deploying a SEN. Snow with Umbra improving the damage reduction from Fringeward goes a long way towards helping you survive.

I believe you're confusing Tyrant and Immortal.

exactly your party is too weak you cant kill the juggernaut, you need to finish the game first

Nah, Juggernaut can be defeated as soon as you reach him. It's very difficult, but you certainly don't have to beat the game first.

Especially if you take a few minutes to play with the Behemoth King-Megistotherian pair right outside first. After doing that, when I ran into the Juggernaut for the first time, I took him down real quick. And I was controlling Hope too.

Just take PanicButton's advice and get those Barfire (in my experience, the flamethrower is his favorite move) and debuffs going. Wrecking Ball will still probably kill you so try not to let that show up (it's pretty rare for him to use it though).

no you cant, even the guide says that it's too strong and in any case why should people waste time there? after the game you can come back

I have defeated it twice on the very first encounter, first try, so yes, it can be defeated without shrouds and summons. As soon as you stick two debuffs on it, the battle is more or less won as long as you can time your shifts correctly.

At Chapter 11, get use to using debuffs from here on out. They really help keep long, almost impossible fights more manageable to deal with. Vanille and/or Hope should be your party standard by now.

Get that chain gauge up and stick the debuffs. This is pretty much my strategy for just about any and every difficult fight on and beyond Chapter 11 (except for Proclaid. I hate you Proclaid).

I died 3 times to Juggernaut before realizing that debuffing him was my best strategy. Once the buffs stuck, the fight was almost too easy.

Dude, seriously? Yes, yes you can:

Why waste time there? Because you can (and because it's awesome to take down something way earlier than you're "supposed" to be able to).

because you can ??? lol 5min with 90% of the time with a SEN and MED really worth the time i suppose, so when i speak try to understand the point; if a fight takes too much you waste time even if you can beat it like in the video, and for this reason it's like you couldnt beat it; this juggernaut can be take down in 1/2 min and without 4/5 buff/debuffs
