Level? One maxed out role on Stage 9, plus what additional CP you gathered. Weapons on Tier 2 if you can, not that necessary. All storyline enemies can be defeated on very low levels (just watch a speedrun on it to get some tips).

I suggest maxing out the role levels in the three primary roles your main battle party specializes in. Other than that, you should be good.

You don't have to be very strong at all. The better your strategy, the lower your stats can be. If your characters are much below 4000 HP, you're going to need very good strategy in order to win.

orphan is easy if you use the right combo of fighting techniques....they all are...i used fang...vanille...hope...and the one before that i used lightning...snow...vanille....and my charecters were at least 7500 hp...snow was 1000...except hope, he sucks....only managed to get him to 6500 for the last battle.

some rav and

You don't need to grind at all, or even go out of your way to kill enemies for CP. Just kill whatever is in your way and that is more than enough.

Given that you can beat the game with mandatory fights only, fighting the majority of the fights in your way is way more than sufficient.

dont know what game you played but i guess my game was a mofo with 8-10 hrs of grinding like most peeps out there...i guess you and the other dude are too hardcore for me...lol

That is hardcore for you? :) Here, final boss killed with a party that never spent a single CP in the entire game (effectively a level 1 party):

As awesome as NCU is, I almost have more respect for MFO. NCU does spend numerous hours grinding to level up its equipment, after all, whereas MFO is the literal antithesis of grinding. Sadly, I don't think there's a convenient video for the MFO final boss.

Isn't MFO literally the speedrun?
tiornys Nov 16, 2014 @ 2:25am
Almost. The speedrun picks up several extra fights in the early chapters for shrouds and other resources, and fights through a couple of encounters late that we've only recently discovered are skippable given enough patience.

(These are the 2x Rust Pudding encounter in Mah'habara, which you can eventually pull out of the way by entering and exiting the encounter zone enough times, and the Tyrant + Vernal Harvester in chapter 12, which can be forced out of the way by using Snow's big body as a sort of lever. See vid:)

Hey, can't this skip be viable in a run too? Well, apart from being somewhat luck-based.
