Post-game equipment (not weapons)
Hey all, so I'm busy going through hunts on Pulse at the moment (done up to the optional tower mission I think, maybe a couple past there). I'm just curious which accessories to aim for as my final equipment, and what they be be upgraded from. I want to do the missions roughly in order so I'm more interested in the upgrades than the actual mission drops.

I know the Genji Glove breaks damage limit; can it be upgraded from anything, or only got from the missions (I know which missions already)? Same with Ribbon or anything else to aim for?

Also besides Ribbon and Genji are there any particularly necessary equips besides just getting high stat booster? I've noticed the "auto" skills aren't as good as in previous games because they wear off, so I'll probably ignore those in favour of just keeping a SYN/SAB/XYZ paradigm

Genji Glove can only be gotten from missions 51, 62 and 63. It's a very nice item end- and postgame.

I also recommend "Growth Egg" which doubles your CP and can be won in mission 55.
There are also threee catalogues which improve your chances to get items (normal, rare and shroud items). It's always good to find a spot to put these.

Apart from that many people suggest getting simple "+ Attack" / "+ Magic" items, especially the nice "+300 attack" Kaiser Knuckles and "+300 magic" Magical Crests late-game. Against the bigger bosses, these items boost your damage output significantly (!).

(I also loved Sprint Shoes which give Haste at the beginning of fights. You can get them from dismantling a fully upgraded Tetradic Tiara. I know what you mean about the effect wearing off but the speed boost is great for your first paradigm.)

Thanks. I already have all 3 catalogs (just got connoisseur from mission drop). I don't want to use the death trick so it's gonna be a while before I get Growth Egg :P

And Ribbon? Otherwise can anyone tell me whether Fast Recovery is worth bothering with?

Genji gloves is the only piece of equipment you need. Growth egg and the catalogues when you are farming for CP or gil.

All other is optional.
Ribbon is nowhere as powerful as it was in other titles, it's better to use the specialised accessories when you go against an enemy that can use some nasty status attack. But you can keep the damage reduction ones too, or the stat boosts.

EDIT: Okay, I'm an idiot, forgot the Sprint Shoes. Those are essential. That one-minute auto-Haste can win almost any non-boss battles. And lots of boss battles too.

300 attack x3 or 300 magic x3 and genji gloves all you need.

An auto-bravery or auto-faith accessory would give you more bonus strength/magic than two +300 relics…

Don't they last only a min? and only apply once per battle? It would make sense to use 300+ accesories and use SYN to apply the buff would give greater power and magic than losing out the equipment to auto-item

If you can't finish a mob battle in one minute, you are doing something very wrong. Especially post-game, when anything weaker than an A rank mission and oretoise types last 10 seconds tops. (I mean you can kill a Behemoth King in 5 seconds.) Plus the additional slot can be used for something actually useful, like sprint shoes.
If you want to farm oretoises (oretoisi?), you need more specific loadout anyway, not some flat stat boost.
