Hardly any cities to explore whatsoever, but great gameplay, great graphic and great story.
FFXIII is a very good jrpg, but not a very good FF... thats my opinion atleast...
Is that because it deviated from the ways of the series ?
No world exploration, story isnt really that shocking tbh, there is a small plot twist to the end, but for the most of the time everyting is unrevealing as you assume and thought it would be.
Also, you cant power level/grind until later part of the game since you're "stuck" at certain levels.
To be seriously interested in the best JPRGs, you need to have a console. I always find console-snobbery amusing. The only statement it makes is one of ignorance since there are so many great games that never make it to PC.
I also liked that every character had an extra ending, if you did all side-quest or talked with them a lot.
oh I am not saying it shouldn't be recommended (though I still have yet to play it fully through) I am just saying that just be FF XII is on steam, it shouldn't mean that someone is going to shoot down getting a PS3 over one game when there are tons of games, especially RPGs and if you like RPGs, then it is a great system to have.
