I hate Hope

If it wasn't for Hope the game would be so much better.

I like Vanille and Lightning and I find that Snow is useless. Sazh is cool but too much dependent on modification/upgrades that I don't like to play him because he is so weak when you don't upgrade his weapons. I don't really like Fang, don't know why. Hope is okay.

But together, they are unbeatable! :D FFXIII <3

Snow is the best post-game MED and one of the best RAVs (he casts insanely fast). Sazh is the best SYN up until late/post game (haste + all en- spells available early, easily giving double, triple damage per seconds to the whole party).
Actually, all characters can be super effective if you find how to use them properly. Maybe even Hope, although he is probably the least best.

Agreed I love the battling mechanics for this game and hope is great in battle if you get him to up defense and pair it with his medic and dual casting with Lighting. I just hate his character just a little ♥♥♥♥♥. Love when lightning puts him in his place. Sazh is my favorite as far as his character because I love that baby chocobo.

He's one of the characters that gets the most development though. You might not hate his character so much later on, xD. *might*

Really? Well I look forward to it. He'd have to turn into The Ultimate Weapon or something to make up for his lameness so far. Lightning and him have an interesting chemistry I will admit I look forward to future developments.

Yeah, he will, don't worry ;). Though a lot of it is also in XIII-2, although, it is arguably somewhat of a shoddy way of development then... Heh.

Poor Hope, he's one of the most well designed characters after all (yes, he's a bit annoying at the beginning)!
Besides, in FF XIII-2 he's really grown up.

I can agree with this statement....

The beginning of he game he is a whiney crying little ♥♥♥♥♥, hate is not a strong enough word for the feelings I have for him. Loathe maybe?

I don't know, but I really wanted that little ♥♥♥♥♥ Hope to die....

By Chapter 12, those deep feelings of wanting him dead had disapeared. I only find him annoying now, and he has improved in my eyes. But, I still don't like the kid..

Yopu are not alone i hate him,.... but i do hate vanille even more , with japanese vo shes a bit more doable... but her english vo get on my nerves!!!

There are people who quit the game because they don't like Hope.

I found him mildly annoying, but I didn't understand how people could hate him (or Vanille) that much until I heard the English dubbing for them. If you don't mind subtitles, it's much less annoying in Japanese.

I used to hate vanille too, but I started to love her once I figured out that She & Fang are lovers... Maybe not officially, but they are totally yuri together.
