Equipping Items - Help

I'm playing with mouse/kb, and no matter what I press, I'm unable to equip the items in my inventory. I've search far and wide for answers, but it only comes up with the xbox controls (which makes me wonder if I need an xbox controller). If anyone has insight on this, please let me know I kinda really need to equip those items.

Check the keyboard layout in the in-game config menu. It lists all buttons. If they don't work, try to change the ones you can in the main game menu.
It could also be a glitch related to your keyboard itself. Some games really don't like wireless and/or custom driver using input devices.

I've done this, and it's not very helpful. And as I've said, I've tried pressing everything.
The keyboard I use is just your regular keyboard, so I don't believe it's an issue with that.

Just to cover the most basic of basics... are you trying to equip the items from the Inventory? If so, go to Equipment instead. The default keyboard command sequence should be:
E to open the menu
S down to Equipment (number of key presses depends on how many menu options are unlocked)
Enter to confirm
A/D to select the character
Enter to confirm
Enter to confirm Equip
W/A/S/D to choose which weapon or accessory slot to mess with, Enter to confirm, etc.

Thank you; that saved my sanity. Sometimes it's good to cover "most basic of basics."
