When you tap in a direction to turn and nothing happens it's not inertia, just poor controls.
Even cars in racing games are easier to maneuver than The Witcher, and respond even if you tap a button; you might not get very far, depending on the button, but there is a response.
Hmm, strange, that doesn't happen to me at all. The inertia thing yes, but the controls being unresponsive in the way you are talking about doesn't happen to me at all. /shrug.
I agree.. What he describes is not what is happening on my system at all. For me the controls feel more than enough responsive. Weird....
You know, to be fair, I suck at controlling this game with Mouse and Keyboard, I am much better with the gamepad. Wanna know the last time I owned a console? Sega Master System from 1987, been a PC gamer since 1984. But I still recognize that the keyboard/mouse controls are not unresponsive, that I can tell for the times I did try to play the game with mouse/keyboard. When playing a first person shooter I suck at playing those with gamepad, but with a Mouse/Keyboard I am extremely better. Some games I play better with Mouse/Keyboard, others I play better with Gamepad. I have a few friends who have been console gamers and PC gamers, owned every console since NES, and they play Witcher 3 far better with mouse/keyboard than they do with the Gamepad.
Well - I'm terrible with an controller in this game. My aming is so bad and slow that, when I attack an enemy camp, they can sit down, brew some tea, talk an bit about "the meaning of life and all that", and when they finaly come around the "42" point, I am finaly able to launch my bomb.
The same for making fast turns with Roach. By the time I am turned around to do an second attack, they probably raised an second generation of pirates...
For me it is KB+M, simply because it is more responsive and fare less embarrassing for me.. ;-).
As an side note - this is true for this game (and some other games). There are also games that play an lot better for me using an controller. Strange but true...
