Is there a way to increase text font size for books and stuff? My eyes hurt reading the small text...

You surely play in front of your monitor (10-15 cm from your eyes), but i play in the living room with a 52" TV and 3 m of distance from it, and yes, the font is so tiny that it's annoying to read it (no, i have no vision problems). This game was done by classic PC gamers for classic PC gaming, mouse, keyboard, 20" monitor on the desk, and gamer sitting in front of it. But for us who are looking for a console-like experience, large TV's, controllers, couches in the living room and so on... It's gaming is crap. It's a pitty, As a Steam user i accept it and say, it's ok, it's for the classic gaming, not for my gaming experience. But if i was a console user i'd really be pissed off, then the game was not designed for console experience, and that's an isult to console users, that sucks from Red project. You should be able to custumize your HUD the way and size you want

i dont quite get your argument though...the game was made for "PC"...you bought a "PC" version and now you're upset that it's not quite what you wanted when playing a "PC" version as a "console" game...??? If you wanted a console like experience why didnt you buy a console and the console version of the game which has the larger text??

I think the bigger issue here is PC gamers having to put up with poor console ports rather than the other way around...

I'm not going to buy a console to play the witcher iii, don't be ridiculous. I'm just not going to play it, end of the story. There are hundreds of games around here.
This is relevant, I guess. If there are enough people that want to play their PC games in a console-like manner to justify the cost of doing so, maybe CDPR will implement UI sizing in some future games, or maybe a modder can. But it's a strange thing to just expect.

Hi, maybe, but i don't think so, they just don't care. I've watched videos of xbox1 an ps4 and the UI has the same size. I'd be really mad about it (in fact, there are people in forums really mad about it), then a console game is much more expensive, and buying a thing that is not properly optimized for console gaming, really sucks (mass effect 1 was another example). In general, font size in games are friendly, but it should be cool that you could custumize the UI, there are games like this with lots of menus, lots of things for your character, lots of documents, etc. It's really complex, definitely a game for classic PC gaming, but even so, you should be able to customize the things the way you want for you to have more organization in your gaming (in any game, in fact).

In answer to the OP, I'll just say this...

Not all players are 18 years old and have 20/20 vision.

I'm closer to 60 and my eyes are not the best.

I've not found the text font size too small in all the years that I've played, but my eyes are not yours.

If you can afford it, upgrade your monitor and GPU. I've just gone from a 1080P 27" monitor to a 1440P 31.5" monitor... the difference in readability is astounding. I also have the mod from Nexus that makes everything HD. That mod may be good for people with good eyesight (and it is) but it also sharpens the text for people with poorer eyesight. You will need to check system requirements, though. As a minimum, I'd recommend 6GB DDR6 vram. 8GB is better.
