Lanntern marks on map

dont know what to do. There is lantern marke near gryphon gloves quest when i use lantern ghost keep digging and nothing goes on

You get an enchanted lantern that lets you see ghosts from the Kiera Metz questline. You get some experience for watching the little scripted ghosts do their thing.

Yep... didn't figure this out either and it seems like the only lantern on the map other then the initial quest.

Thanks Captian Obvious, but why is the lantern mark is still solid white after you watched... it doesn't seem to have any interactions, like you can't make that ghost desapiar by puting it to rest somehow or talking. Also it seems like you are using plural when you are talking about those marks... did you find any other ghosts like this?

Did you watch him before or after you picked up the loot in the cave? I watched him beforehand and i got 30exp

Don't remember exact order ... probably after, the lantern is still white and I didn't find any other ghosts after this one.

To be fair 30exp is nothing to mourn. Still kinda dumb bug but at least it wasn't anything major

i think its just a bug, i found 1 or 2 other laterns on the map and they played the scenes fine, just the one your referring to with the guy with the pickaxe does nothing

i ssearched red corpse before using lantern/ lok like script bug that gives no XP ang not turning lantern grey

I reloaded my save and went to the village, first thing I did after killing all the wraiths was watch the ghost for two minutes. Nothing happened. Looted his corpse and read the letter. Watched his ghost again. Nothing happened. Went into the cavern and got the Enhanced Griffin Gloves design and the other loot. Went back out, watched him some more. Nothing happened. WTF. I'm gonna have the one lantern left on this damn map.

Maybe it's not something that can be "solved". That digging ghost is trapped there for eternity as punishment for disturbing the grave. So - he will be seen there digging and digging....... for ever....

(Just an little twich of the "story" from my side. At least it explains why that symbol wont dissapear... ever). ;-)
