Only slotted skills work?
If you buy skills, they are not active unless they are slotted right?

correct.

Just curious if even the General skills work this way?
Soulless May 25, 2015 @ 10:05pm
All skills only work if they are slotted.
coldneutron May 25, 2015 @ 10:05pm
Yes, even the general ones.

I'm not sure if I like that system. Feels too restrictive, especially in combination with the mutagens.

It would be so boring if you just unlocked all of them like it were The Legend Of Zelda or something.

I like making choices...that is just another system where I get to make them.

Its supposed to be restrictive. You are supposed to make a general build and then have other skills to slot in and out depending on the mobs you will be facing.

Not a big fan of the skill system, very restrictive unless you're the type to focus on one of the aspects. Thankfully a mod will come along and remove those limitations I'm sure.

(3 skills per side witch each skill having an alternate/different effect and intensity? good one CDPR)

So you hate what it is supposed to be. Brilliant.

A mod to change that system is little more to me than a glorified cheat.

Alright, give me 85 bucks then you can tell me how to play, or what is and isn't cheating.

You can do what you want. Just don't try to say the system is flawed because you think this is burger king or something. Your suggestion ruins game balance and overpowers the main character. Its a cheat.

The system as it stands now, is restrictive and flawed. You can disagree with me but it's my game, I paid for it, I can play it how I want. Even without modding the skill points in 2, you could easily max one path and half of another. Now in 3, you can put points wherever you want but you can only get the benefit of 12? Sound idea.

Supertrooper back in defense of a terrible system. If they're going to block off the amount of skills we can slot at any given time, AND block off the majority of slots till we invest at least 20-30 hours into the game, I think a fair trade-off is being more plentiful with the ability points.
