How to install mods on Steam version?
I only found out how to install mods on the GOG version of the game, but not for the Steam version.

There are some interesting mods on the Nexus website http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/?

I would like to use on my game, but i can't seem to find the right folder to put the mods on.

You go into your steam/steamapps/common/thewitcher3/ folders, and replace the file indicated by the mod, each mod from NM has a readme inside the compressed file telling you were to install too
by install i mean copy/replace, they are not self installers or exe's
Mods for this game are a beyotch! I've never had a worse experience with a game in terms of modding. I follow the instructions and ensure that the mod is compatible for my version, but it STILL never works for me. There are multiple different ways to install mods, but I wish there was an "official" way to do it that didn't involve mixing random files into game directories which makes them harder to remove. Skyrim modding worked the best.

I can't imagine how people with a crap ton of mods deal with the game's updates since every update breaks mods so you have to deal with every single one you installed. It's a nightmare.

http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/119/? "Fix Exp for quest" works new patch?
Patchs usually break mods. So its more trouble than its worth.

Ture, but thats because official modding tools have not been released yet

Ya, the vast majority of mods, you just download, unzip the folder and drop it in your Witcher 3\Mods folder - if you haven't created a Mods folder yet, just go ahead and create one. Just pay attention under the description tab on nexus mods and the mod creator usually explains how to install it. If they don't, usually it's just dropping the mod into the mods folder like I mentioned above (every single mod I run is like that).

I've found Witcher 3 to be easy as heck running mods - I run around ~15-20 or thereabouts and have no issues with any of them. Highly recommended. There are a lot of really cool ones out there.
