Is it illegal to cheat on this game?

I just read that the devs said that those who reached level 70 are hacks so is it bad to cheat on this single player game?

No, it's not illegal.

No PvP means do what you find fun, at least that's my personal philosophy. The moment you take a modified or hacked character into a public game it becomes a different issue.

The main reason i play games on PC is to play the way i want.

No, the devs in question were pointing out that the people complaining about the level 70 cap or non cap ect were hackers and you can't actually reach level 70 in the game normally so there complaining about the cap allegedly being 70 is a non complaint.


You are free to do what you want in the game and it even has a developer Console that can be enabled in game as well.

It has a fully working developer console, you can change your level, money, spawn monsters ect. Think Skyrim console.


Neither was I. They just edited there characters to 70 and were using the fact that they were only level 70 to force complaints on CDred, who dismissed there complaints as the players can't actually reach those kind of levels in the game with out cheating thus any complaints arising from that are non issues.

They are not doing anything illegal, they can not be legally persecuted for their actions. Even if CD Projekt RED didn't want people to cheat, what are they going to do? If you buy the game on GOG it's DRM free, so it's yours to do as you please. And it has cheats like GOD mode and "shave" to shave his beard etc. kinda like skyrims console.

it is illegal, they scan your game files constantly.

so if you have too much money or loot compared to life time kills and plants picked then you will be in trouble.

they will ban you from playing the game if they find out you cheated or use mods.

if you do use an cheat program just remember to be careful leaving it running etc if you goto play a different game
