People who read the books have told me that she ended up on our earth hanging out in France sometime in the past.
Not really, she ended up in a world from Arthurian Legend and hit it off with Sir Galahad, that wasn't France and wasn't our world.
And nope she wasn't Lady of the Lake, she had a chat with Nimue the Lady of the Lake (probably hit it off with her as well since Ciri is bisexual).
That part of the book was probably the author melt down and didn't want to write anything, since Geralt and Yen live happily ever after in Avalon along with their dead friends.
If I remember correctly in W1 everyone (who was present when Geralt died) told Geralt that Ciri brought him and Yen away (as that was the book's end) and that was the last they saw him.
As for the other witchers...who knows. They were probably happier that Geralt was alive, then crap hit the fan and Geralt went after Salamandra and the Professor.
Exactly. In The Witcher 1, Triss kept encouragung Geralt to form a new identity and new relationships...which was basically just her shamelessly trying to keep Geralt for herself.
Sorry for unearthing this oh so old thread, but I came across this discussion while researching infos about the time Geralt rode with the Wild Hunt, and I wanted to correct you : Ciri does travel to our world at some point, and she lands in a french village where she is fed in an inn before traveling again. She also travels in a world where she sees an asphalt road, and it is mentioned in TW3 - so perhaps we could say this part is half-canon - that she told Geralt about skyscrapers and cars. The part about france is in the books. It is also said that a plague-infested rat accidentally travels from another world (ours ?) and lands in a ship called "Catriona", this is where the name of the disease comes from, and Ciri brought the plague from another world (again, I think it's our world during the Great Plague) to the world the Witcher takes place in.
