Ciri: new because she looks more grown up in it. In her white blouse she looks like a 12 year old.
It looks odd however when she is still wearing the original outfit in cutscenes, like she quickly changes back to her old clothes.
Shows their current outfits in cutscenes for me, new or old as I use them respectively.
There are a couple of cutscenes in Kaer Morhen, which I think are pre-rendered, this is when characters are shown in their original outfits. SPOILERS Example, Yen activating the shield, and Ciri doing her magic shout. Also Geralt is not in those scenes, hence my believe that they are pre-rendered
For Ciri, I liked how it was noted by one of the Baron's men that he was surprised to see a girl in a mans garb being able to hunt as she did. Her new outfit, although very warrior like, get's rid of her tough girl look imo.
Triss's dress looks very nice but it's just too impractical. It's basically screaming, "Look at me I'm a very important person!". She might as well be hiding in the Passiflora with that outfit.
Yen's outfit, I like. I never really liked her default outfit. Her new one looks nice without being overly provocative or impractical.
Yennefer's outfit i think suits her better as she is living in Nilfgaard where appearances are paramount. Also the whole sorceress thing, being the seductress' that they are. They use magic to look good so why wouldnt they dress appropriately ?
The original look wasnt bad though either.
Triss' outfit is good but yes abit silly considering she should be blending into the crowd (original outfit is good for this). However she looks ten times better with the DLC and since she teleports everywhere i thought oh what the hell. She could be a rich noblemans daughter for all the guards know, sometimes hiding in plain sight is the best option.
I was just finishing my third playthrough and from Avallac'h's place to the ending she had her old clothes in all the cutscenes but her new outfit as soon as I had control of her.
