Not that I dislike the game Geralt because I can choose to make him socially competent. It's just interesting to me to see the differences between game and novel.
First time i refused and the chamberlain told me he would be punished so this time around i did it to see how Duny would react. I loved Geralt's response, that deadpan delivery just makes it complete.
If you do then he says just that - "I thought you bowed to no man?" Geralt says something like - "Well i didnt want to disappoint the chamberlain we are such good friends now".
He was being sarcastic, showing Duny that he was annoyed by all the pomp and ceremony.
This. I am constantly amazed that so many people don't get sarcasm. Try going to the Witcher 3 forums on Reddit and look at how they rabidly downvote any comment that is obviously humorous because the world class autists over there wouldn't know sarcasm if it bit them in their bloated asses.
To be fair many people just dont get it, im scottish my wife is dutch and when i had Monty Python on she didnt understand at all why i was laughing. Same with Blackadder.
