Excellent voice acting but....

Generally the voice acting in witcher 3 is superb except, well, what the hell happened when it came to Triss Merigold? It's just doesn't seem that great, the accent change between sentences, it doesn't blend with the world and feels slightly flat. The rest of the games quality just makes the contrast starker.

Triss IS the altrenative woman

It's not the that I dislike the character but the voice just doesn't work that well. Shame as she seems to be one of the important characters from Geralt past. I just find her unconvincing and, at times, annoying, which ends up making me not really caring about the character.
The rest of the VA is generally awesome - so far particularly loved Keira Metz - so wouldn't want to change the language.

Same here. I thought everyone else was basically spot-on, but Triss' VA just sounded either bored at times, or completely in another "zone" and not feeling the character in many instances. Don't get me wrong, I've heard way worse, but I felt like the same quality of acting just wasn't there for Triss.

You've got the likes of Geralt, Yen, Dandelion, Vesemir, Eskell, Keira, Philippa, the host of bad guys, even Radovid, Dijkstra, the Baron, the arch druid, and all the random npcs....but Triss, and even Ciri's VA at times, just didn't seem like it was all that important to them. Sorry, just my opinion. And I know I couldn't do any better, so it doesn't ruin the game for me or anything.

I don't mind Triss' voice that much. Most of the time it's good enough.

Normally voices sound quite the same in multiple games and then there's Vernon Roche's voice. Which is completely different than any other voice . I kind of like his VA.

Many, Many people think just like you do i include myself in that number. She seems totally out of place in W3. To be fair in W2 it wasnt that jarring.

Nail on the head here. The vast majority were superb and so even an adequate VA looks bad in comparison.
