When it isn't iinverted, it symbolizes magic or a state of mind that aims to semd as much of their own and the world's spiritual matter back to the Transcendental Planes of Reality.
Whilethe Pntagram, is worn or used in an "inversed"[1*] position. it means the person is practicing magic or honing a state of mind that aims to draw spiritual matter, psychological energy. knowledge, and so on, to themselves or to the world in general."
You are confusing pentagram and pentacle.
Pentacle is five pointed star, upward pointing. Pentagram five pointed star, downward pointing. Both have different names and uses in various real world faiths and literature/game lores.
In the vartious witcher games this is a symbol used in sign casting and worn by magic users, it has no connection or connotation with satanism that I know of. Eastern and Western pagan history and mythology is loosely woven into the mythos of the witcher stories and games, and its symbolism is also used in a loose way.
Oh, and it was hardly ironic that it symbolizes luck; that's precisely why Hitler used it.
Isnt that just how people view Pentagram's today? I thought it was to do with Wicca (Witchcraft) which is appropriate.
It's a necklace that says: "I'm a colossal b!tch, stay away"
OP, no. The pentagram symbolizes magic and power in this game. It has nothing to do with real life symbolisms.
... does the Eternal Fire mention damnation for sins or something? I wonder how much worse the monsters there would be. :D
