Medic - Draw card from your discard pile.
Deck - Card that you not yet used.
Discard pile - Card that already been used in previous round or in this round.
You probably confused between spy and medic card. Medic card is shown with shape of heart and + while spy card is shown with eye icon.

By having a few of these in a deck it helps you to:
Steal spy cards from the other player that he or she used on your battlefield.
Getting extra cards from last round (discarded pile), when used on non royal medic cards.
So be sure not only having Yennefer of Vengerberg when trying this.
And of course undo cards.

Those card are muster card. If you place the card on the table, any muster card of the same type that is in your hand and deck would be place on the table.
At start of the game when you can change 2 of your card. If you have 2 muster card of the same type, change 1 of it immediately. If you don't, placing either one on the table would result the rest of it being used up as well.
