For the seasonings, check your journal. All the way at the bottom of the 'Alchemy' section, there's quest items. The seasoning should be there.
Everything everyone in this comment section has explained just happened to me now, at first I thought maybe I forgot something, hell I even tried to mark one of the guys just in case the quest bugged out again, well it turns out that doesn't do anything because when you visit that location oh, nobody seems to be there,, because the quest is gone missing.
But if I have to create the stupid cleansing mixture or whatever, I will, I just hope it fixes this stupid Quest, because I have had to reload from the beginning of this Quest twice over the past hour, I've even started skipping large amounts of dialogue because I'm so damned annoyed by this.
The horse racing in Skellige is another. You visit a lady to start the quest. It becomes active but with no quest markers. When you open the quest log you'll see 3 separate quests for 3 different horse races. You need to choose one.
Another minor irritation is that you can fulfil part of a quest and the game automatically switches you to the lowest level main quest. In the past I've trecked halfway across the map before I realised that the markers were wrong.
It's always good to look at the quest log because some have multiple markers, such as the Witcher gear treasure hunts. Sometimes you'll be on the 'Find all elements for the Cat/Bear/Griffin/Wolf school gear' and have no marker until you switch to finding the pants, sword or boots diagram.
it's funny because i got used to the quests that required me to create a potion and then equip it, and then i'm given a quest that auto equips the item, but because i didn't know it auto equip the item i was looking in my inventory and i couldn't find it, and i thought the quest was bugged because i could not find this potion that i needed, it was that pops potion quest for dikstra lol.
i thought the quest was broken until i accidently figured out about how you can swap your food and potion quick menu while fighting with an enemy once, anyway once i figured that out i could finally complete that quest, it was so annoying.
but this quest is messed up because the script should have auto chose the mixture quest instead of throwing the quest at the player having the player choose out of order, not only this, but instead of putting the quest as 3 seperate choice quests, just put them all in the same quest so the player has a more direct direction of where to go so there is no issue later with the quest.
the quest remains open
