i meant closure speech between shani and Geralt, not overall game closure speech.... and the DLC is not a prequel to the main game, its a standalone
Where did you get that information? I was wondering if the dlc is happening after the storry ends or before it starts or if it runs parallel like a sidequest.
this is definitely not a prequel. You will even question Shani what will she do now since Radovid is dead etc. you can do it before, after or during the events of main story. It is clearly a standalone
Sorry I didn't explain it well. I said it is like a prequel because everything is supposed to happen before THE END of the main game's story, since the ultimate conclusion for Geralt's story is that he ends up and lives the rest of his life with either Triss or Yennefer. The events of this expansion are treated the same way as all the other quests of the main game meaning that they took place before the final chapter of the game, even if you complete those quest after it (you get a popup message explaining this after endgame). Exactly when before is anyone's guess, but being a standalone storyline it is irrelevant anyway.
True. Some dialog seems to adapt to the progress of the main game, with some dialog options available depending on choices taken. And even though it could be done at any time, it does seem to favor a post-main game setting, given the high level requirement.
There is closure no idea where you get that idea. She tells Geralt that she is leaving and that it wouldn't work between them..how is that not closure?
Blood and Wine is set AFTER the main game so no...the main game isn't the final part of Geralt's story.
Hearts of Stone I tend to play after the main story as well but you can fit it in just before the final battles as well.

I went to look for her after I completed the main HOS quest. She was not in her house, but she left me a gift on the table - Olgierd von Everec Gwent card. Apparently you can win this from her, but I never played Gwent with her (didn't see it as an option). Nice parting gift.
I visited her immediately after going to the academy, instead of progressing the quest. She was at her house then, gave a closure speech after speaking about the wedding, then played me at Gwent. I guess her NPC zones out after the quest is done
