BTW I have 5930k, 32GB DDR4, 980 ti. More than enough to run even this game...
uninstall witcher3, and delete all contents in 'documents/the witcher3' except savedata.
delete 'steamlibrary/the witcher 3' folder.
then install witcher3 again.
I ran witcher3.exe in administration mode.(you can try this first)
and I could pass the cutscene.
but I'm not sure it would works to all the same bugs.
I Have a same problem (only with me it happens when I play as Ciri and help Escel and open the gate). I open the gate, get the notification that I the quest is updated and BOOM a crash to desktop, no warning nothing, just as the cutscene starts.
So I'm trying your solutions hoping that will work, but when I go to desktop icon (of Witcher 3) I can't select to run as admin in properties. Cant find the .exe in the Steamapps folder eiter.
So how the **** do I run the Witcher 3 as admin
UPDATE: After reïnstaling I could get past the crash
I hope it doesn't happen again but the solutions are well worth keeping in mind...thanks for them.
Thankfully for me it happened a couple of times in one play and then didn't happen again: I reloaded and it worked...lucky I guess.
