i want to save the beast. unfortunately i seemingly picked the wrong sentence while talking to that man (Todar?). Kneeling beside that wolf with that stupid tooth and can'T do anything. And I really don't like that garden. think i'll take a break from the witcher.

BTW...how long aprox. from that point to the end of the game when concentrating fully on main quest?

10-15 hours. You can still complete the quest without saving the beast though, just find a piece of werewolf meat in that garden, it was on some clue or in some chest, dont remember exactly, then feed it to morkvarg.

You can loot meat off him each time you kill him.

Everytime someone mentions that HE HAS THE POWER, I've got to post this https://youtu.be/cVYvozAWPtc?t=33

just reload your older save and this time not threaten to kill him? You can then proceed with breaking the curse, just make sure to kill him before he leaves the cave as he disappears.

Feeding him his own flesh is even better as he suffers horribly.

Just passed the quest
Didn't feel the need to complain of it over the forum.
Felt like I would explain why the Witcher 3 is great and why skyrim sucks.
Don't ask me why
