Really?TOMB RAIDER WON THE WITCHER 3 ? LOLLLL
http://www.pcgamer.com/rise-of-the-tomb-raider-wins-2016-writers-guild-award/

i guess someone paid them a nice sum to decide this sh1T!!!

only the Baron quest line can beat the ♥♥♥♥ of Tomb Raider
i really like tomb raider and played the first one but comeon ...? this is one of this games that after 10hours u finish the "main story" and u have no desire to keep play unless u are a freaking hardcore fan.

the witcher 3 is so much better in the writing that i cant belive this sh1t is true.

And The Witcher 3 isn't?

No, it isn't.
Question: have you even read the Witcher books?

What has reading a book got to do with a game?
Ivar 2016 年 2 月 17 日 下午 5:53
It has good combat. A touch too streamlined, but I like it, lots of people like it.

I've read both the English and German translations and while I will say that the German one is better, the English one is perfectly fine and it's no reason to not like it. You just have ♥♥♥♥ taste.
Yeah, clearly. Anyway, back to reading terrible modern authors like Philip Roth, John Updike, Arundhati Roy, Francine Prose or the apparently crappy fantasy of Lev Grossman and Philip Pullman or the lame-brained sci-fi of Gene Wolfe and Jack Vance.

Enjoy your high art and totally not grocery-store-bottom-shelf-pulp-fantasy with prose that'd make Dean Koontz cringe! :)

And now $50 or so question... is prose in Witcher books English translation at least better than... Harry Potter??

Lots of people also like Black Ops II.

I actually don't know. Never read HP. I was raised on Tolkien, CS Lewis, H. Rider Haggard, H.G. Wells, Verne, Doyle, etc and by the time I was in middle school I was engulfed in mid-19th century Russian lit and plays (Anton Chekhov is still my favorite writer of all-time). I've only recently started going back into fantasy and sci-fi, and I've been told by very reliable people that Lev Grossman's Magicians series is basically "Harry Potter done right."

But I don't really know from experience.

The Last Wish just felt like a typical trashy grocery store 'pulp' novel (as I said, Dean Koontz or maybe James Patterson) but in a fantasy setting, with lots of grisly violence to remind you It's Like Super Adult Yo.

I liked ROTR but saying it has better writing is a mockery....... and for who keep saying combat suck on this game, please just stop. this isn't your casual game or generic hack-slash. You get your arse beaten over and over and than you cry over blaming the game combat (DSPgaming style) so if you think you're rambo or too lazy to understand how to deal with situation/enemies than isn't combat being bad, its you.....

You'll see that the majority of the combat complaints are from people who actually found it too easy and exploitable and generally poorly constructed. Because it, you know, is.

Anyone who finds this game's combat to be "hard" even on so-called Death March is an idiot.

Aren't you full of yourself. So people may not be as good in video games as you, and they are idiots? How about showing some maturity and some class. /rolleyes
CT-99 STRIKER 2016 年 2 月 17 日 下午 8:00
using such "its easy, or its hard" depends on each individual player skill level. those aren't by any measure a credible way to say that the combat is good or bad..... besides people complaints aren't the same of being actually a FACT.... point is people complain about everything, because people are idiots... One thing is not liking and another is claiming something is bad.

to answer you, no the combat isn't hard as long you know what you're doing but i see alot of people playing like God of war, run and mash button and ending dead just minute later..... and exploitable... every game can be exploited... every single game...

But the combat is bad because it 1) lacks mechanical balance 2) permits button mashing with no speed penalty 3) permits an infinitely spammable dodge for which you're mostly invulnerable during 4) allows you to pick off enemies with your crossbow one by one because they're locked to a tiny "zone" that they can't leave

Dude, it's just rubbish combat. Get a grip.

There are some hard fights. Not enough, and I wish Death March was harder. But it's not a sloppy system and it's not straight up easy either. It also has solid controls in combat, good feedback and hitboxes, and the signs in the game are the best in the series. One thing the player can always do is accept quests several levels higher, the ones in red, and you get a decent challenge.

But only because of MMO-style damage reduction buffs... it's artificially inflated difficulty. Also, the color-coding is ridiculously lowest common denominator-appealing junk that again comes straight from MMOs.

So you've only learned, just today, that award ceremonies are fixed?

Must be young.

You know sports are fixed, too, right?

YEAH kinda sad that most sports events are fixed. Anyway the only sports I watch nowadays are X-GAMES and some F1 / Motogp other than that... meh

LOL.

I beaten Six Olgierd at once on Death March first encounter, also beaten all other "hard" HoS bosses on DM first time I found them. And I found the combat is serviceable but not anywhere great. You don't need to to care for the situation and just go rambo because ♥♥♥♥ reasons, I have 20k Hp, bout 4 times your average Geralt. Also that insta potion drink, blergh.
Y Ddraig Ddu 2016 年 2 月 17 日 下午 11:24
The "potion drink through osmosis" was one of the weirdest design choices I've seen in a AAA title recently. And the "brew countless potions while sleeping in the middle of a cornfield for one hour as long as you have a bottle of hard liquor" system. What the hell were they thinking.

Oh right. To hit the casual market. And in that they succeeded!
