What has reading a book got to do with a game?
And now $50 or so question... is prose in Witcher books English translation at least better than... Harry Potter??
I actually don't know. Never read HP. I was raised on Tolkien, CS Lewis, H. Rider Haggard, H.G. Wells, Verne, Doyle, etc and by the time I was in middle school I was engulfed in mid-19th century Russian lit and plays (Anton Chekhov is still my favorite writer of all-time). I've only recently started going back into fantasy and sci-fi, and I've been told by very reliable people that Lev Grossman's Magicians series is basically "Harry Potter done right."
But I don't really know from experience.
The Last Wish just felt like a typical trashy grocery store 'pulp' novel (as I said, Dean Koontz or maybe James Patterson) but in a fantasy setting, with lots of grisly violence to remind you It's Like Super Adult Yo.
Anyone who finds this game's combat to be "hard" even on so-called Death March is an idiot.
Aren't you full of yourself. So people may not be as good in video games as you, and they are idiots? How about showing some maturity and some class. /rolleyes
to answer you, no the combat isn't hard as long you know what you're doing but i see alot of people playing like God of war, run and mash button and ending dead just minute later..... and exploitable... every game can be exploited... every single game...
Dude, it's just rubbish combat. Get a grip.
There are some hard fights. Not enough, and I wish Death March was harder. But it's not a sloppy system and it's not straight up easy either. It also has solid controls in combat, good feedback and hitboxes, and the signs in the game are the best in the series. One thing the player can always do is accept quests several levels higher, the ones in red, and you get a decent challenge.
YEAH kinda sad that most sports events are fixed. Anyway the only sports I watch nowadays are X-GAMES and some F1 / Motogp other than that... meh
LOL.
I beaten Six Olgierd at once on Death March first encounter, also beaten all other "hard" HoS bosses on DM first time I found them. And I found the combat is serviceable but not anywhere great. You don't need to to care for the situation and just go rambo because ♥♥♥♥ reasons, I have 20k Hp, bout 4 times your average Geralt. Also that insta potion drink, blergh.
Oh right. To hit the casual market. And in that they succeeded!
