Devs, why no Italian SPOKEN Language ???
Hey Devs, i generally am satisfied when there are at least the subtitles for my language, but, in this case, i have to complain with you because you made many SPOKEN versions of this game but not the Italian one, can you explain me why ? Can you give me some strong reasons because you consider us so much inferior to some of the other countries you favorited ? I would be happy to read your reasons, thanks. :steamsad:

Maybe there's less of an audience for italians? I'm sorry they didn't voice it for you. Its pretty expensive to do so though.

the English dub is great, most of the English voice actors did a great job, subtitles are there, many games that get Italian dialogues do so in ridiculous or terrible ways since here they mostly don't care using good voice actors for videogames, and they've probably done their maths and found out that hiring italian voice actors isn't worth it.

don't know whether the game is dubbed in Japanese or not, can't bother to check atm, but if it does, it means their sales ratio in Japan is better than in Italy. rip

I have to disagree with you my friend, cause i'm owner of many videogames dubbed in italian and let me say the voice actors were great, absolutely professionals and, in some cases, even better than english voices, i can do few examples but games with great italian voices are really a lot: Mass Effect serie - Bioshock Serie - Borderlands serie - Diablo serie and many, many others....

While, about Japanese language, i checked and indeed seems it's more speaken in the world than Italian but, if you check Steam shop pages of many games you'll notice like Italian was more often chosen as dubbing language than Japanese, but this game was also dubbed in many other languages (to know which ones just check shop page and you can read them all) like Polish and i wanna link this article to clear my point, hoping to make people meditate:

I think they did some kind of researches based on first games and maybe italians werent that much of their customers to justify spending resources for their translation. I dont think devs picking translations based on "amount of people in country" otherwise there would be 100% chinese and indians lol.

Really? You didnt notice that this game originally is polish as well as developers. Shouldnt be a big of surprise that one.

again, it's not the number of speakers, but a ratio between copies sold in that country and stuff, and devs are Polish so no surprises that the game gets Polish dialogues.

honestly, the commanders' voice actors in mass effect were good, but most of the other characters sounded like crap, except for a few ones. The Italian version was so good that i switched to the English dialogues. voice acting for cinema is a better reality, but for games, it often ends up being bad or nothing special, with few exceptions like Sam Fisher and some others. honestly i'd play the game in english even if italian dialogues were a thing, since the english version is that good (and the italian would probably be bad)

Oh, i did not notice that indeed, thank you my friend, now things are much more clear to me and i understand better the situation, thanks again.

I'm glad they didn's since the Italian voice acting (in videogames) is usually VERY bad; with some exceptions.
An italian voice acting for TW3 would have ruined the immersion completely.
I'm italian.

Ok my friend, i wanna trust you and i will play this game as it is, but when there is also the audio dubbing is always a +1 for me, but i think i can survive with just subtitles, without these last, i probably could not.

I really would like to have italian voice acting! I dont understand how this oversuccessful, overhyped game does not have it, when other crappy games have it. I would play the through with italian voice acting.

I'm crossing my fingers for the next gen version, i would also buy italian dubbing paid DLC, because it's all about immersion having the game in my native language.

With the latest patch, voice in Chinese and Korean has been added. Is it not possible to implement voice in Italian, as was done for Cyberpunk 2077 (with a very good result)?
ack ack Jul 2, 2024 @ 9:01am
I would also pay for an Italian voiceover DLC pack on par with the Cyberpunk cast.
