That's probably not the only way.
Peaceful solution with who? With brainless abomination whos only instict is to kill everyone? Killing it is the peaceful solution since you deliver the peace to the village.
Don't picky, you know what I mean. The non-combat solution ffs
Why are gamers, PC gamers especially, so funny about picking apart words to start an argument? Especially when they know exactly what was meant by the original post anyway? Why do people do that?
Peaceful means truce the peace with someone, even in witcher there are intelligent creatures/monsters that are able to see a reason or can be convinced. How do you want to convince literally 0 brain creature that cant even communicate.
You deliver rest and peace to a spectre by killing it, isnt it obvious even from game knowledge.
The non-combat solution is to burn the corpse, but i still think if spectre is nearby he probably still engage, it isnt peacefull either tho.
I often think it's because they crave the confrontation they are afraid of in real life, but feel safe to bring on in the safety of a forum. Humans do need this kind of confrontation to help their self-esteem after all.
I still would have liked a PEACEFUL resolution with the Jenny quest.
Like you kind of can with the tower full of mice, which is also a specter.
Also, Geralt does say it's a curse that brought about this specter, and lifting the curse would get rid of it, peacefully. As the specter would be at peace without having to battle Geralt.
But hey, nevermind
Calm down mate, the "peaceful" solution is to help the wraith in a non-harmful way.
Yea I get it, it is just a bit weird that Geralt actually says "I can't lift this curse", implying there is something missing and if he had that missing thing then he might have a chance at lifting it without using his sword.
That is by far what they are.....They are vengeful Ghost who are stuck on the wrong plane because they were murdered or killed in a horrible way...It doesn't matter if they deserved it or not. All it sees is what happened to them while they were alive...that's why it kills...
I can't remember the quest name, but you get a quest from a man in Velen who ask's you to go put his wife's ghost to rest....She tries to convince you to bring him to her to see him one last time...If you do, she kills him...I can't remember exactly why, but it's something that she couldn't let go of....so you see? They aren't brainless monsters....they are ghost that are taken over by vengence...
