Jenny o' The Woods Problem?

I just fought Jenny o' The Woods. It's supposedly a level 10 quest, and I'm currently level 19.
I was using Yrden, with 2/2 Sustained Glyphs and 3/3 Magic Trap, both boosted to +10 by Greater Blue Mutagen. Also using Specter Oil on my 256 - 312 silver sword. I was using enhanced Swallow and Enhanced Thunderbolt. The first 3 times I tried, she killed me within 4 hits. The fourth time, I beat her, but my health was down to about 10% (and that's with spamming food and water). Is this normal? I mean, how the hell is anyone at level 10 supposed to deal with this?

Yeah, she's hard - best thing to do is leg it to a distance when she splits and then go back again after they've gone and repeat. If you stay close to the clones she'll regenerate from you.

I did it while level 11. I spammed Yrden + Quen, and kept waiting for an opening to attack it.

Had zero issue with at level ~12. Yrden sign with no upgrades, Igni when possible and Spectre Oil was enough to kill her. Did it in first try with 33-50% health left.

Generally the special wraiths hits like a ton if they hit you from the behind, so if you can avoid that by being fast enough when they move around, they are among the easier special opponents.

By not getting hit? I meant isn't that what action game is about, hit but don't get hit yourself.

If you spec alchemy you could get slow mo to dodge easier.

I did this quest both playthroughts on level 6 or 7 before going with Keira to the tomb. Try to avoid atacks? I think thats the key.

Quen + energy regen potion easiest way to do it. Being hitted twice between energy regen after quen is realy silly, but you still can regen with other potions. And these kind of specters atacks are very predictable especially in irden, i honestly think it could hit you in quen like once per 15 sec or smth which is enough to refresh it and place irdens etc.

I actually have no idead why you even had problems at that overlevel, you should already have Moon dust bomb from novigrad and thats basically it + couple heavy atacks spam in quen lol.

Every creature crit you from behind not only specters. I think specter atack without it being detected might be generally crit.

I did this when I was lvl 14 and I only took like 2 hits just max out the first lvl of quen so when she breaks it she gets pushed back and then you can get a ton of fast hits in,mix this with yrden and she is slowed while staggering for even more hits.

I also think they have buffed some bosses, not this one in particular, but my guess that they buffed Leshen from novigrad lvl 25 quest, i think i've killed him 1st playthrought around 15 level, this time at level 18 he was a lot tougher fight, same applies to a lvl 20 chort quest, he was significantly tougher this time aswell, but i think jenny hasnt been changed.

The basic techniques against wraiths have been described above: Quen, Yrden (no upgrades necessary), spectre oil.

Rinse and repeat twice. Difficulty Level: B&BB

Use YRDN and spam the dodge button until she stops moving, then slash the spirit out of her, i survived at level 16 without losing health

I am of the same opinion as the OP. This was harder for me than a level ten quest.

What are you doing? Keep a yrden (or two) near the fire and dance with her. It's supposed to be a fun boss fight.

Well I was going for an insomnia mission or two. Let me check. I'm pretty damned sure I had two down at almost all times.

She killed me several times. On 1 on 1, is pretty much whack and dodge within Yrden circle.

To me it's a dps race fight and how fast can you kill her illusions. You can never underestimate the duplicates of Jenny. This mark was never meant to be a long fight.

The longer Geralt stays, he gets exhausted, so as his supplies. I killed all her illusions with crossbow. Just be aware not to get surrounded or flanked by one. Otherwise, Jenny's gonna eat your foods, water and you!

This might not be a good strategy. I did killed Jenny at lvl12 on DM. Oh I got enhanced Dancing Star too. Even though the bombs did merely a scratch but the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ screamed! So yeah, every bit counts. I hope this helps, Toadflax.

You can have 2 standard traps active if you upgrade yrden. IMO, standard yrden combined with alternate yrden is devastating vs wraiths. The interrupts really mess them up, can take them on in large numbers.
