Please someone tell me there is a mod with no fall damage...
What in the freaking hell.. Why did CDProjectRed make the fall damage so incredibly silly? Like i know for a fact that i could fall from the hight that Geralt has, and not even break a sweat, but he freaking dies. lol Like literally a couple feet drop, and bam dead. There has to be a mod to just take away fall damage all together, or at least make it more realistic. Just sailed across some water, and up a mountain, slipped and fell slightly 5 feet, and died. Now i have to do it all over again.. Very annoying.

To answer the original question, Yes, there are 2 mods on Nexus.

One is for no fall damage, the other is for reduced fall damage. There used to be one to prevent the embarrassing rolling down stairs... which has led to my death in Skellige on one occasion, near a Place Of Power.

For those using a controller, press 'B' just before hitting the deck and dying.

I empathise with the OP. My Geralt has died from falls that would break my leg (at worst) in real life.

I've not used any of these mods, so read the descriptions carefully, take a look at the player questions page, before you decide. You'll need the Witcher Script Merger (also on Nexus) to merge the scripts of your new mod, if you haven't already got it.

Hope this helps.
I didn't even notice the fall damage lol, guess I played too much far cry.
Looks like the OP has given up.

It's a shame that, because the mods I suggested might have helped.

Only the 'No Fall Damage' mod might have helped in Skellige, for me. It was that Place Of Power that's up behind the abandoned house that you check for ghosts and Cerys. I had my skill point, was ambling back down and Geralt got into one of those tumbles down the path: No problem except that he rolled right off the cliff and there was naff all that I could do about it... dead... as a door nail.

Try dropping off a cliff into water only two or three stories below. The impact popped a blood vessel in my eye and literally tore the pants off my leg. I don't think you understand how badly fall damage works IRL and are too used to fake damage in video games. What's worse, I now understand why gamedevs often don't even put a jump or crouch key and why so many games literally have a button prompt to activate a QTE for climbing ladders or jumping across a cliff manually in consoles at scripted moments than, you know, having actual jumping and fall damage in computer games

maybe OP got the 'rona

Seeing how OP is not good at playing witcher 3 I guess it makes sense to just cheat.

*Sigh* The old "Git gud"excuse that so many gamers try throwing out anytime someone wants to criticize a game, even if its about a small gripe like this one. Listen, its fine that i can press a button before hitting the ground to not take damage, but can you honestly say that it makes sense for me to have to do that from a 5 foots drop, sometimes even less? No.. It doesn't.. Fall damage in this game is unrealsitic, and just flat out silly. I believe i am good at this game, and the franchsie since i beat them all except 3 rather easily. I just think this one small part of the game could be better. Thats all. Nothing to "git gud" about, just needs to be fixed imo. Trying to stay alive from a 5 foot drop is literally one the most illogical things i should have to do in a game.
Are you freaking serious? Your name is clumsy ninja and you are asking to make falling damage to disappear because you fall to your death too often??? Are you freaking real??

Most people never died from falling damage in this game. I never died, I didn't even know you could die from that and I finished the game four or five times. Like, man. It's not about "gitting gud", it's about learning to use the stick and think abour where are you going. You sound like you just try to run in straight lines from one place to the other...

I've actually fallen and died tbh, it's a game so it's not like I can't just reload from a mistake. I was surprised to find it's more realistic and you can't just walk over cliffs or jump over ravines, iirc I tried jumping across a cliff without running first. I can however imagine some salty IGN reviewer complaining about it being "too hard" though. Speaking of which did IGN complain like they did in those farcical Ruiner and Alien: Isolation reviews? Could use a laugh

I don't know but I wouldn't be surprised. Some of those reviewers are incredibly weird.
oh its easy to die just jump off a cliff. What most people don't like is when you "fall" die from something stupid with bad game mechanics. I once jumped over a wall and just died when i landed, didn't even fall a long way just the mechanics of that area went "oh you just jumped over something.. dead" lol.
How about instead of dying, Geralt just sort of twists his ankle and has to limp around a bit for a while. That's realistic.

Not from four stories. Have you ever seen people fall from four stories, or watch a video? I do. Did, anyway. And I've seen people die from ♥♥♥♥ they realistically shouldn't have, just because they hit their head or neck wrong on the landing. Earth's gravity may feel light, but you'd be surprised how fast kinetic energy build up and acceleration kicks in, which like I said even falling on water from height can kill you like landing on concrete. It's part of why people often die with no survivors in jet plane crashes in the Atlantic/Pacific, because once you accelerate mass at any appreciable speed it's like slamming into a wall and the plane just disintegrates. I've seen speed boats do the same(in videos).

So in that regard, yes, if you jump off a cliff into the water you should die too if it's high enough.
