One is for no fall damage, the other is for reduced fall damage. There used to be one to prevent the embarrassing rolling down stairs... which has led to my death in Skellige on one occasion, near a Place Of Power.
For those using a controller, press 'B' just before hitting the deck and dying.
I empathise with the OP. My Geralt has died from falls that would break my leg (at worst) in real life.
I've not used any of these mods, so read the descriptions carefully, take a look at the player questions page, before you decide. You'll need the Witcher Script Merger (also on Nexus) to merge the scripts of your new mod, if you haven't already got it.
Hope this helps.
It's a shame that, because the mods I suggested might have helped.
Only the 'No Fall Damage' mod might have helped in Skellige, for me. It was that Place Of Power that's up behind the abandoned house that you check for ghosts and Cerys. I had my skill point, was ambling back down and Geralt got into one of those tumbles down the path: No problem except that he rolled right off the cliff and there was naff all that I could do about it... dead... as a door nail.

maybe OP got the 'rona
Most people never died from falling damage in this game. I never died, I didn't even know you could die from that and I finished the game four or five times. Like, man. It's not about "gitting gud", it's about learning to use the stick and think abour where are you going. You sound like you just try to run in straight lines from one place to the other...
I don't know but I wouldn't be surprised. Some of those reviewers are incredibly weird.
So in that regard, yes, if you jump off a cliff into the water you should die too if it's high enough.
