Yes, also AI is tweaked for sword players. One of the swordsman will do only fast combos, dodges and charges while the other two will parry almost always and use strong attacks. Compared to the regular AI that parries or dodges every 2 moons means a change in dynamics.
Your allies don't do damage, but they take damage, so they are just sparrings, but if they die too fast you'll face the other enemies in 4 or 5 vs 1.
Toughest fight of the game, at least regarding difficulty of swordplaying.
You only can use oils if you had it applied to your steel sword before the fight. The oil doesn't get removed.
