Is there a problem with roach?

I can't cross any bridge with roach, it seems like there is an invisible wall and i have to pass around it

That's the joy of Roach. She has challenges when it comes to bridges and simple obstacles, yet magically crosses large bodies of water when you whistle. There's actually a side quest that addresses this very issue.

I try timing jumping at the start of any bridge to make it through, but sometimes it's impossible. Quite often I just find another route; or I jump off, run over the bridge, then call her once I'm far enough away to bring her to me.

I think there is something with Roach that she does not like crossing bridges at full gallop :)

Maybe she is afraid of bridges lol

Its one of those silly bugs. You can decide if you want to get mad at it or just explain it in some funny way.

I much rather tell myself that horse is afraid of bridges lol

That ALWAYS happens at the last race in Skellige. It's so much harder to win this race because of that.

Most bridges in Velen and Novigrad are fine for me. But Skellige and Toussaint are horrible to traverse with this stupid horse.

If you basically cannot cross bridges, then your savegames and / or your installation are corrupted. Therefore two questions:

Do (or did) you use any cheats, mods, console commands etc.?

If not: Have you tried to repair your installation?

I wanted to replay The Witcher 3 for quite some time now, but the idea of dealing with Roach controls turns me away every time I reinstall the game... It does stuck on bushes and rocks and all kinds of invisible walls. On top of that Roach constantly takes wrong turns, and abruptly stops for no apparent reasons.

I can ride Roach like you do too, but for example during early days of W3, when many things wasnt all right like after 7 moths from release for example, my Roach had problem with that long wooden narrow bridge from Bloody Baron.

Definitely the best solution for you (ah, and for us). Everyone would suffer if they had to ride a horse like yours.

My Roach doesn't move that bumpy - on the contrary. I can not explain it; maybe you got a bad copy of the game? Then I would buy a new one.
