Cant get rid of ReShade

my Witcher 3 is stuck with a reshade i put a long time ago, and i have no idea how to get rid of it. I've reinstall game, deleted the reshade, right now my game is not modded, all of the files are the files that you get when you download the game, but the DAMN RESHADE IS STILL THERE!!!

why dont you just delete the reshade files directly? Bin folder.

The OP probably has no idea what files Reshade added.

Get the same reshade download again, unpack it in a new empty folder on your desktop NOT into a game directory. See the files and folders? Go into your game and delete those files and folders.

You can't do that. Reshade will only install in a games directory.

LOL, no, it won't need a game folder, I've done this before, just make a fake game folder if you have to.

Besides, most reshade mods you D/L already have reshade files, you don't need the main discrete download from the actual reshade dev. That said, they aren't supposed to be packaged like that but they are.

ah yes you can also reinstall reshade to same game. If it says it exists, then uninstall. If not, then install, repeat, uninstall.

i have that problem once, all i do was go to root install game delete everything inside of the game (not the main folder game), and and do a verification of integrity and the steam download all original files without that mods

all the reshade files literally go to the folder where your exe is. how hard is this lmao.

there not there, thats why this is weird cuz i still have the custom reshade i made with the option it comes with, but i deleted the reshade folder and everything that it brought and its still there

none of those files are there because my game currently have all the default files that come when you download the game (i just finished re-downloading the game like an hour ago)

Did you delete the folder before re-downloading the game?

As long as the dgxi.dll file is still present in the bin/x64/ folder, ReShade will be invoked. I can't imagine how it can be activated in any other way than a leftover file being present.

Yes actually cuz I was trying a method from a guy here in the comments that required me to delete the stuff inside the Witcher 3 folder.
