Anybody else bothered by the fact that nobody in Toussaint has a French accent?
I mean the whole area, the names, the geography, the food, everything is clearly based on southern France, yet they all have some weird accent that sounds made-up. Why not have them sound French? Was that too much work for the voice actors? Love the expansion otherwise, but this was a bit disappointing.

That's some higher sense of honor they show. Like there also exists some higher sense of humor, but not all get that humor and end up killing people for their sense of humor.

Are they? I just started the expansion and haven't run into any bandits yet. I did find a bunch of killer plants together with the body of a knight who carried a letter saying he'd just become a knight after much sacrifice from his family, and was off to do great deeds. That was kinda sad.

The two knights you meet in the beginning seem to be quite willing to fight bandits, even if one of them wanted to talk to the bandits first and appeal to their decency... which ended about how you'd expect. Having a lot of fun so far. :)

Still the whole point of being a knight is supposed to the honor and glory you bring with your services and they're more than happy to let a witcher do their work for them so it begs the question: just where is their honor in the end?

And what does sense of humor have to do with anything? I'm talking about honor and service.

Never mind. Wasting my time trying to discuss such matters here.

No, because the power of plot demands Geralt does it!

To be fair, that's pretty much every single-player RPG ever.

Yup.
Someone should work on a mod where you run up to an NPC with a ! over his head and he explains the problem and then tells you, 'Nah, bruh. We got this. Want to play some Gwent instead?' Just turn the entire game into a platform for Gwent and Gwent only.

A minor NPC in The Witcher 1 who was from Toussaint did have a French accent, but I understand they didn't go that way in BaW. All the characters speaking with a French accent all the time would have ended being tiresome and a bit annoying

Right like some real knights in our history. Yes some are good but most of time its for the booty like what knight did in crusade.

Seriously nobles really don't care about their peasant like Lionheart bankrupt England for his stupid crusade then get kidnap then the peasant will pay for his ransom then named as Lionheart because he is a king that also rule his people very harsh way. Unless it will benefit them.

So it's just like every other video game that tries something like this?
Strange amalgamation of Nordic accents in Skyrim.
OVERLY racist "black-people talk" in Deus ex: HR.
Spains speaking mexican in RE4.
I could go on and on, but it really isn't that big of a deal and to a certain degree the accents are fine, it sounds more or less french...

Accents aside, i imagine that if Emhyr wanted to invade Toussaint he could steam roll those knights in about 2 days. thats realistic enough...

Ah, another idiot who doesn´t know that historically, France won more wars than the US. And that the colonials only won because of french help.

A pity the US had an empty, huge continent to colonize, huge enough to fit 30 million immigrants in the XIX century. The british should have found only little Cubas, then your asinine post wouldn´t exist. Maybe you would even be talking french right now.

What does this have to do with the thread? Also France winning more wars than the US is an extremely bad point. France has been around for over a thousand years, the USA has only been around for 240. Also yes France helped the US win, but the US has also helped France win very important wars to.

Also to be honest, if the US hadn't formed and done what it did, it's possible we would all be speaking German right now.
