Bitter harvest is f*cking stupid

Even on normal difficulty the guy you're supposed to protect dies in one hit. What kind of sh*tty game design is that?

rest in peace weak man who never gets enough to eat, you know peasents and all lol. Yeah im not sure why he dies in one hit for you. he seemed to be able to at least take 5 hits for me without dying.

Weird. The fact that he just runs at the ghouls like a maniac doesn't help either

There was a similar quest in Skellige where you're supposed to protect 2 guys who go into a cave to clear it out of monsters to "prove their manhood" or something. Problem is there's a bunch of rotfiends in there (or devourers), the ones that blow up on death, and these guys haven't mastered the concept of "moving away from a monster that's about to explode". Failed the quest twice before giving up. Can't rescue people from their own stupidity. :)

Once there was a bug with the black pearl quest, the man on the beach was killed in 1 hit by drowners before Gorbelt could even reach the shore. So the quest could be bugged just like that for you too. Do you use scaling or mods?

No mods or scaling. I've restarted the quest multiple times but it keeps happening. Guess I'll just wait till I'm way overleveled so I can kill the enemies in 1 hit.
