How difficult is English for non-native speakers?
For example in comparison with Divinity original sin? At first glance in gameplay videos the Witcher seems to be quite comprehendable.

Since most of the game is an endless cycle of dodge/swing - I'd say English isn't crucial here. But then again, why don't you just run the game in your native language?

Thank you! There are two reasons: better voice-over and language practice. RPG's usually good for many interesting words.

*Please be aware that:
1. Before purchasing a game card always make sure with the shop which region the game is from. Some shops have non-local versions in their offer.

2. Game card’s region is represented as a game code, which can be found on the back of the game box, above the barcode.

3. Digital downloads are attached to the eShops where they were purchased. Changing the eShop’s region after the purchase will not affect language availability.

4. Some regions may only have one version (game card or digital download) available or it may be necessary to purchase from a different region depending on the eShop availability.

5. In order for the voiceover DLC to work, it has to be from the same region as the base game.

Despite the original script was in Polish, English voiceover is indeed the original one, thus it's the intended way to experience the game.
Some games can indeed have many unusual words, but it's not one of them, not by a long shot. The Witcher 3 is above all a story about people, not some sci-fi stuff or anything. And since you seem to be able to have a conversation in English - I believe you'll have no issues understanding the game, most of it at least. I also am a non-native speaker, and I didn't struggle with TW3.
Have fun with the game, it sure is a good one.

I dont know what you're talking about, I downloaded every voiceover at 3.something GBs each and I'm in India, don't know where you got that info or if it was like that before but it isn't on my end.

There are characters that use "bad" english, purposefully on part of the narrative. Understand its not always easy for native english speakers to understand some of those character's lines, which is likely the intended effect.

As a linguist and language teacher I can promise you that English is one of the hardest languages to learn, because it's such a mix of so many different languages and dialects.

The English voice-acting in this game is one of the best I've ever played.
