So i've been playing in order going from velen to novigrad and now in skelligae. I've been coming across NPC's that no longer issue me gwent cards. does that mean i'v ecollected every silver/bronze card?

missing cars is really not the issue, just that new oppoent NPC's i come across in skelligae like armourers and inn keeps no longer give me cards after a win. So i'm under the impression i've won all the non-gold cards which Im sure i'll aquire since it is a quest log.

i'll check the link thnaks

If you played the guy in the inn at White Orchard he should have given you a book called The Miraculous Guide to Gwent. This book tells you what areas have cards that you still need.

It doesn't just tell you where cards are and who has them - that would take all pretence of a challenge out of the search. It does give you an idea as to what cards are missing and where they might be.

Well yeah, if you're not that smart it might be 'too' challenging.

And considering the size of the maps, totally not helpful and definitely not 'challenging' by any sense.

Well I did it on first playthrough with no books or guides so imo it's doable. But I tend to do/explore everything :)

Well if you look inside the in-game book there's a heading that says something like "cards won from opponents with no particular renown or skill". If it's at 0, then you've won all the cards that can be obtained from smiths and inkeeps. All remaining cards will be obtained from quests or by purchasing them.

Just checked out the book and, "cards won from opponents with no particular renown or skill" is at 0. Remiaing shows 7 at skelligae and 2 in Velen. I'm guessing those are quest cards.

Well thanks for the input guys. Much appreciated. Thats more time I can spend doing other in-game stuff.

I'm currently in the closed beta for Gwent Stand-alone and I can no longer play Gwent in-game the same again.
yea i always talk to inn keeps to sell and see if new dialogue is presented. otherwise I'll buy the cards if available. But since the gwent book says "cards won from opponents with no particular renown or skill" are 0, i'm just crusing on by with quests.

I somehow got all the cards without paying attention by just buying them and playing everyone I could. Got the achievement after the High Stakes mission.

As far as quests are concerned, in Velen there are "Velen Players" which includes:

1- The Soothsayer or Old Sage in Benek
2- The Boatwright in Oreton
3- Haddy the Card Prodigy in Midcopse
4- The Bloody Baron in Crow's Perch

If you skipped doing this until later in the game and the Baron is no longer available, you should still be able to find his card by searching his office at Crow's Perch. I believe you can also find a note there that lists the other players, basically unlocking them so they can be played if you failed to trigger the quest earlier.

Then there's the "Playing Innkeeps" quest that includes the Innkeeper of the Inn at the Crossroads in Velen. Also includes Stejpan at the Alchemy Inn in Oxenfurt and Olivier at the Kingfisher Inn in Novigrad. After Now or Never, Olivier is no longer in the game. His card is missable as far as I know. I don't believe you can find it in the Inn if you missed playing him earlier.

Skellige has the "Skellige Style" quest where you need to win cards from Ermion, Crach an Craite, Gremist, Sjusta the Tailor and Madman Lugos. Lugos can become missable if you wait until the quest Battle Preparations begins

As for vendors, Velen has six, including one that is a Person(s) in Distress that must be freed first. He is located at the Bandit Camp east of Claywich on a large island. Once freed, the merchant can later be found in Claywich and traded with. The others are:

1- Shopkeeper/Merchant in Midcopse
2- Shopkeeper/Merchant in Lindenvale
3- Innkeeper at the Inn at the Crossroads
4- Trader/Merchant at Crow's Perch
5- Quartermaster at Crow's Perch

Skellige has five vendors:

1- Jonas the Innkeeper at the New Port Inn, Kaer Trolde, Ard Skellig
2- Innkeeper at Urialla Harbor, An Skellig
3- Innkeeper in Arinbjorn, Ard Skellig
4- Innkeeper in Svorlag, Spikeroog
5- Innkeeper in Harviken, Faroe

Did they ever fix the merchant disappearing at Claywich? I am missing the card from this guy, but he disappeared after rescuing him...

Haha, after a quick check on the net, by chance I read someones post who had the exact problem as I did. Apparently the trader at Claywich is there, but he doesn't have the trader symbol on the map like he should, this whole time he was in literally in front of me without me realizing!! He's just standing on the porch in front of one of the houses...

Ye, tried it all. His icon is just glitched, so it appears as though he's not there, but he is lol.
