Compared to smash bros.
I'd love to hear from the community what they think is better and worse between brawlhalla and smash bros. Specifically, the things that are central to the games rather than what will be patched in the future based on the dev diary.

Better: Items have been centrally integrated into the game in such away that they are necessary rather than something to be turned off by any "serious" player.

Better: The stages favor different weapons and strategies but don't do annoying things like make you move around.

Worse: The lack of diversity between characters. If your playing a character and have guns equipped, it feels lame when other characters pull out their guns and have mostly the same moves with them. Characters in smash have thematically unique moves for the most part, but my least favorite thing in that game is when a new one is released and falco wolf and fox have the same looking moveset despite how differently they feel to play. Brawlhalla takes that annoyance to the next level.

On a side note, I'm done buying consoles, and brawlhalla is the best smash-like game on pc, so I hope it does really well!

Never really liked Smash Bros.
Definetly love Brawlhalla, though.

Better:
- The action is much more readable and looks much less messy.
- The controls are a lot better compared to smash bros which always felt a bit clunky.
- The animations are a lot better, when I record a game and pause the video, I can see that each frame is very detailed.

Worse:
- Lags quite a bit. Sometimes when I play with friends, the game can show that I hit or KO'd an opponent when I didn't.

Have to disagree, I would like some more fun items for free for all and none moving stages get boring over time.

Dont like the fly animation of smash bros characters when they are hit strongly. Looks like a rocket start in slow motion. Its better that Brawlhalla doesnt have it the same way^^
I prefer the speed in smash bros more, you can dash and just move faster overall. Not only some chars like Hattori.

I agree, but I figured that was probably in the works, so i didn't mention it, and the items that are there are the good kind and they're integrated tightly into the game. I think it would be cool if after more items were added to the pool, there could be certain ones that would locked to each of the stages so that the number of items in a game didn't increase by a lot to make it crazy, but the ones you played with would change from map to map giving the maps a more unique feel.

Depending on what you mean, i might agree. I hate stages where the camera moves and you have to follow or else you'll die, but stages with moving platforms that you can go through are fun.

Combat is great and very satisfying. Would like to see more unique or special attacks for each character and I really love the grab/throw ability that ssb has.

Sorry u are wrong! Are u trying to compare Indie game with a AAA game. U are kidding right?
Brawlhalla its good but Brawalhalla its nothing comparing with super smash bros. series.
Are u jealous of doesn´t having a Wii U or a Wii.

Brawlhalla worse:

Life its small
Bad design menus
No 2 players local match
Pay to win
Share Code to use a server (no friends no play)
bad design at all
This game doesn´t have gravity
Its flash!
Its a copy of SSB at all

It seems you are a Smash Bros. fanboy. It doesnt mean you have to spread lies!
There are 2 player local matches available.
It isnt pay to win.
"Share code" statement doesnt make sense to me, sure there isnt an invite menu yet but there will be in the future. The game is still in closed beta.
If you say "bad design at all" then tell us what you dont like.
If the game didnt have gravity, you wouldnt fall to the ground to begin with. If you mean different character mass, sure it isnt the case. Maybe for the future but there is other important stuff that needs to be done first.
A copy, hu? All games I know have elements from different games in them. Take first person shooters for example, are those copies of the first FPS? Im happy there is a platform fighter on computer now because I wont buy a Wii U, never ever. Nintendo´s Wii was already disappointing and I regretted buying it. There just werent enough interesting games for wasting 250$ on it.

[Brawlhalla] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2zUGl0SM6I vs [SSB] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b86-gBDyECg compare. U are a game reviewer whic one u give the better review?

For exemple go to twitch see how many players have which one. (In this moment 0 for brawlhalla and 7000 for SSBB for WiiU)

You compare a game that started with an alpha build a year ago and a game that is already mor e than 10 years on the market which also had a way bigger development team.
Ika-chan Feb 15, 2015 @ 4:36am
But its better (and its not 10 years its 4months)

Brunn08 you should give Brawlhalla some time. It is still early access. And know one thing. Brawlhalla is probably never going to be better than SSB combat-wise, But Brawlhalla has so much more going for it:
- It's on PC
- More Gamemodes
- Free to play (Pay for cosmetics)
- Constant Updates
And these are reasons enough for me to think that Brawlhalla is better than SSB.

SSB, 4 months, like are you being serious ? I played the 1st ever SSB on a Nintendo 64 when i was a kid, but you sound like you don't even know what you're talking about and just want to act smart. Relai said Fan Boy ? Yeah definitely, how can you insult such a great work ? May i remind you that it is Free 2 play, that it is IN DEVELOPMENT (yeah read that carefully). Other game modes are coming, new characters (fully created by the Devs) will probably be added every now and then, new skins, weapons, Ranked battles.. Should i keep going ?

You call that a "copy" but you should be happy that it gives us the opportunity to brawl with people from all around the world on our PC/Mac computers. It comes from a fan of SSB as well, but you're obviously not a fan of the game's genre, you sound like you're in love with Mario or something.

Thank you so much for this game Devs, i'm loving every seconds of it, i will definitely spend some cash in game to support this piece of art

Im not trying to be smart but the new SSB (for wiiU and 3ds) only have 4 months not 10 years!
Super smash bros.; melee; and brawl are old but are another games.

For exemple are u trying to say Call of dutty Advanced warfare its old because first call of dutty have 12 years?

Super smash series are old but super smash for WiiU just have 4 months and brawlhalla have 1 year.
