Brawlhalla is not the only toxic game on the market, but yes I will agree salt and toxicity comes in much higher saturation compared to other games, and yeah it's quite a big problem, but if that really bothers you just gg and leave.
Are you really at the stage where you accept the fact that this community is filled with people who claim they want to rape you? Not to mention that the highly related game Smash Bros just got a very, VERY large amount of their top players outed as actual rapists? Do you not see how much of an issue this is?
Please. If you're doing this to just be annoying then go away. I'm trying to make a point that now is a time more crucial than ever that BMG addresses the issues within their specific part of the fighting game community.
I wish you goodluck.
As for the Smash thing, that's again not at all related to Smash. It's people with power thinking that they're above the law because they have the power. As professionals at a game, (most of which having no sex life due to the aforementioned game taking up most of their lives and making them have less social skills than your average person) they get attention and admiration that they wouldn't otherwise get, and they let it go to their head. For a more indepth look, check out Vaush's video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgZDjpiuvu0
But it's not a smash problem, it's a problem relating to those with power. You'll notice it's not just pro gamers, it's also politicians, millionaires, high ranking executives, etc. Anyone with power over another can let it go to their head; that's how something like this happens.
Maybe in your region the toxicity isn't so bad? Perhaps it's also to do with gamemode, rank, playstyle and character as well. I can safely say that between 1 in 5 and 1 in 3 of the PC players I fight against on any given day have some nasty ♥♥♥♥ to say to me.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Brawlhalla/comments/hkix2p/this_is_a_serious_problem_please_raise_awareness/ I think aika explains this well here.
so yes it's not a fighting games problem, I mean it is, but its just another reflection of how much harm we humans can do to each other, or even other species, planets... and money and power feed those a lot. here politicians have stolen HUGE amount of public money creating a huge debt, they are "Teros Rists" in suits. and some pros must use the fame and the high influence to do bad stuff
It's just so happens we were on the bad side of the coin. I realized that the coin won't just magically flip to the good side on its own but rather I have to do it with my own strength.
Now, It's do or die for me. You're a good guy? Sure, we can be good friends. You're a bad guy? Make my words in hell that I'll be your worst enemy.
It's not just that the community itself is the problem but also the receivers; learn how to pick yourself up. Learn to fight back! The world isn't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a fight for survival. If you let mere words affect you then you already lost the battle.
I know my story is weird but 'Anime' really did opened my eyes to the truth of this world. Everyone has that medium that changes them. It just so happens its 'Anime' for me.
Or you can ignore me, just an 'Anime' freak passing by xD
As I said, grow a backbone. People with high will power like me never use snowflake words like toxicity or judge one community for some bad apples. The world will be better without people like you anyways.
