Because the notes to the Definitive Edition say "Descent of the Shroud Campaign"... and I'm not seeing any campaign.
I'm kind of doubting that we'll see a Shroud campaign, given that the collection is called the "Definitive Edition"; that has some kind of finality to it. Rather, I think the mission is just setting the scene for the multiplayer conflict involving the Shroud as a playable race.
These things are expensive, as is the studios' and actors' time. I doubt they brought them all back just to make a 3 minute trailer and record less than 5 minutes of new voice lines.
Companies have done much weirder things in the past than that...
I'm actually more disheartened that the single mission is yet another Goo mission. Would have been nice to show Lucy some more love. ><
Yeah, the main campaign was balanced, and now the DLC has had 1 Human and 3 Goo missions. More than that, I feel like Lucy and Saruk have basically merged into one character (towards the end of the main campaign, and throughout the DLCs). They both have the same personalities, the same goals, and the same stakes. Their dialogue in the DLCs is somewhat interchangeable.
Which is sad because they started out as two very strong, very unique characters. I do hope we see more GG campaign and we get so see more of Lucy and Saruk's individual personalities. But as I said above, I kind of doubt it.
If you load this map, it helps if you sing "lucy in the sky with destructors..." really loud before "ready."
Short of having the collective skill and talent that goes into making those maps, we can make custom missions. I'm just pushing the editor, I know it's not everyone's thing.
Come on Greybox/Petroglyph!
