Character constantly moving left

I have seen a dead post on this issue, and I have tried to resolve my character constantly moving left, however, removing all input devices does not resolve the issue, there seems to still be constant left input even without any devices connected.

Hi there! Sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue. These symptoms are definitely in line with what we'd expect to see when the game is receiving gamepad input from a device it shouldn't be.

What operating system are you running there?

Just to check what input devices Windows thinks are connected (in case there's something sneaky hanging around), could you try holding down the Windows key and pressing R? This should bring up the Run dialog, in which you can type "joy.cpl" (without quotes). Does anything appear in the list there?

Gmapad remapping software and virtual gamepads might be a potential cause as well if you use any of those.

If neither of these looks to be a cause, could you run the game long enough to experience the problem, then quit and email us a copy of your game log? Instructions on where to find that are in the FAQ thread.

It does look like one of my flight stick programs was regestering because it was a virtual input, seeing if disabling it will solve the issue.
