Fastest ships?

I recently got a Barracuda, and I love it. Anyway I was wondering which higher-class ships are "fastest" compared to the others.
As space pirate, and generally as playstyle, I do prefer fastest/nimblest ships to bulky counterparts.

Let's the debate begin!

I believe the Icarus is the fastest ship (anyone know otherwise?) though it is definitely not top-tier.

Did you ever fought a pirate lord yet? I don't think they run around in corvettes or frigates and there's a good reason for that :)

The Barracuda is the fastest ship in the game.

Corvette
Barracuda - fastest ship in game.
Icarus - also fast, and much cheaper.

Frigate
Hellion, Mastadon, Sturville - all list the same speed rating, I've only used the Mastadon, so can't compare.

Destroyer
Minotaur - The Damocles is listed as having the same speed, but lacks the turning rate.

Dreadnaught
Polaris - no contest. Only thing that isn't very slow all around.

Barracuda is faster. Hard to drop it, it's a ninja!

Yeah, I saw the Polaris and I'm interested. The minotaur have poor hull, and doesn't look as awesome. Plus the Polaris it's quite fast for its class.
