What ship did you settle on as your favorite?

After trying a few out. Including the barracuda, arcturus, damocles, vanguard, and manticore.

I settled on the Sturville!

Very quick, small profile, and heavily armed for its size. Runs circles around bigger vessels.

Average speed and agility ship goes well for me, but now i am sitting in the mighty Blackgate, watching carnage left and right.

Barracuda is definitely my favorite. Currently running the Mckinely, and so far it's not so bad. Not a huge fan of the turret placement. Gonna give the Sorcerer, Minotaur and Polaris a try soon enough.

Also the Radovich is almost up there with Barracuda. I just prefer the underside turrets on the Barracude.

Favorite is the Barracuda. Lacks punching power, but thats okay. Like a lot of people, I simply love the speed and survivability it brings.

Close behind is the Manticore. All of the turrets are positioned at the top, allowing each one to hit a target regardless of the ship's angle. 4 secondary ports is on par with dreadnoughts, giving it a lot of punching power if you load it up with missiles or mines. Its manueverability is only average, but it has a 5 components, allowing you to place EMP Ablatives and Manuevering Thrusters without sacrificing offensive components. To top it off, the ship is relatively cheap. Its an amazing precision strike vessel.

I went back to my Tennhauser. Three mk6 mining lasters and mk6 broadsides + speed makes me the Cassius Clay of cruisers.

Arcturus is my fav one. Remind me the Victory-II Star Destroyer from Star Wars. (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Victory_II-class_Star_Destroyer )

The Arcturus it's just perfect to go in battle and watch its turrets tear apparts any foes insight. It can sustain some damage before retreat to a safe spot and even if it's a "slow" ship, he can handle well when it comes to sneak around a bigger ship to avoid broadsides and put all its turrets rights to reactors' foes.

So far the Dravius has been my favourite all around. Aesthetically the Barracuda and Sorcerer make me drool. I love how the Barracuda looks like the hovercrafts from The Matrix! I didnt like its lack of firepower all the much for my playstyle though as I'm more ground and pound than quick strike but I imagine its amazing for those that prefer speed. I think I'm going to try out the Minotaur next, then move through the Mckinnley, Sorcerer, and Polaris.

I'm digging on the Aucturus. To get that much firepower (9 turrets and 8 broadside!) and armor (Heavy+) at the 1.5 million mark means that it's got gigant compromises in speed, cargo and agility, but the good turret placement, classic asthetics and did I mention firepower wins me over.

I cannot say for sure, but I think the Tennhousen is my favorite. I do like the Vanguard, but the Tennhousen is fast and well armed for it's size and has a good cargo hold. Not to mention it's pretty OP for how rediculously cheap it is.

Barracuda is my favourite by far, I'm currently trying to open up the .mdl files to 3d print one to put on my desk.

I'm loving my Arcturus. I might switch over to the Sorceror eventully, but this Arcturus is gonna last me a loooooong while.

Barracuda is a pretty sweet ship.

Zipping around with scramjet boosters makes it a great smashmouth ship. Especially with the Ramming deflector. Get up close to the dreads, and they can't shoot all their broadsides at you.

Currently sitting in the Blackgate. It's a bit of a beast, for sure. Though, I'm tempted to switch to the Sorcerer...mainly because it reminds me of the USS Sulaco. And I'm a sucker for the Militia.


Quick question: Anyone know if the Pirates offer you unique ships?
