I wanted to ask,for how long do they stay with you? Is it until they die or?

Yes, until they die. Some will last for ages, the more expensive ones can stay with you a long time. Also the weaker ones, if you pick the right fights.

The cheap 1.7k guy lasted around 4 hours I think until I replaced him with the 4k guy.

And if they did die, you can re-hire them at the same station you hired them. So don't worry about that.

Ahh ty ^^ I have been using the 5K guy for idk how long now...He is just too damn good! lol I wonder if I should even change him...He seems to survive even a ♥♥♥♥ storm. :D

Higher price mercs are straight up better. I am using one with 30k price tag and she took down a Destroyer class on her own. She said her gunship has capital class beam weapon onboard.

Same here. She will take down bounty ships by herself while you're just passing by. She's worth het money and in no time you've got the money back you've paid for her :D
