Controller support ( DirectInput pretty please? )
From what I've been able to gather all over the internets and here, this game only supports XInput Controllers.
I'm a little weird with Controllers, the only one I enjoy playing on is a Wingman Cordless Rumblepad from 2003, it's built like a tank, heavy as a brick and it just feels SOLID. The sticks are so soft and it's just all around excellent ( pressure sensitive triggers it does lack, but the feeling of this controller in my hands... god) .

I'm going of on a rant again. Sorry.
The problem I have right now is that this game was obviously designed with a dualstick controller in mind, but sadly my venerable old compatriot of a gamepad only runs DirectInput.
I've been to the Logitech forums and read that this is a common issue, which doesn't surprise me in the least.
I also understand that this makes porting the game from Xbox One / 360? a lot easier, but for the sake of my old monstrous friend, would you please consider adding DirectInput support? I'd like to have rumble and all that and as far as I could see, there is no workaround that allows me to actually have to full experience on the old warhorse.

Ehm... thanks.
In advance.
You know, for maybe taking the time to even read this.

I don't know if it will help the controller you are using but you might check out DS4windows or Inputmapper, 3rd party programs that emulate Xinput. The game has a built in ui feature to use "ps4 button artwork" if that helps. This is what I am using with my ps4 controller and it works great.
Maybe something like this? https://github.com/Stents-/XOutput

There might be some kind of mod or program you can use to convert. Also maybe something here can help https://steamcommunity.com/app/213610/discussions/0/882966056561112468/

But my Logitech Wingman didn't.

...isn't that a flight stick? This isn't a 3-D space sim/dogfight simulator. It wasn't designed for flight sticks.

My Shield Controller doesn't get picked up by the game... sadly.
