So you are completely unbiased then.
Sorry, but this seems more like not a game design issue, but a player issue, simply put this is not the kind of game for Ankido unless he is willing to learn to play this kind of game.
For those of us who are on the fence for buying RGO, I would expect to see better responses from those who have played it. And if Ankido has a response to your post, I would enjoy reading more as to why it sucks.
I love to boost and turn of the dampers and drift past those big CAP ships shooting off their
missile launchers and cannons.
I love the freedom of going place to place answered distress calls and picking up valuable cargo and saving traders.
I like taking out the pirate lords in a huge battles around a station with lases and missiles flying everywhere.
I love that its not super easy and you actually need to learn flying and battle tactics.
OH and did I mention the best space combat since.. those old school space games of the past.
and how many of those ships did you use?
People forget that most of the ships in games are minor boosts.. so people would jump ahead several ships at a time using a fraction of the ships that were available.
It's like in EVE where you used the first hauler till you trained up to the last one in the line, same with frigates... ooh we got six types of frigates but I'm going to use the starter till I can fly this one.
But the point is, I used ships other people skipped because of how they play the game is different than how I play the game. And those people used ships I skipped because they liked them better.
So I feel the point is, more ships means more people can play the game the way they want, rather than being pigeon holed into a certain ship.
He is an obvious troll end of story he was never going to get any decent replies to that post. The fact he got one is a lot more than he deserves.
Being on the fence, I saw the replies as being trolls to a personal argument as to why the game was not very good yet. If people can't reply to a post with a proper reply, then why reply at all. It certainly does not help the discussion.
After I replied, I did see some responses from people who have played the game and liked it. I take the positive and negative and weight those arguments against which way I will go.
