I also just beat the game. It was fun, the money grind is awful but, other than that it was fantastic.

It's a form of blues-rock. Heavily influence by western style music.

I guess that fits. I don't listen to much country, blues, or rock, but thought of the soundtrack as "outlaw country." I made a custom music folder with Johnny Cash and similar artists, and it fits in quite well.

My custom track has songs like Sound of Silence by Disturbed, Lost in Space by Apollo 440, Turn the Page and Nothing Else Matters by Metallica, and a lot of the rock and roll songs that were in Burnout Paradise (one of my favorite game sound tracks).

carnival of rust by poets of the fall, waterfalls by eyeshine, wintersleep by olivia luftkin is in my cruising soundtrack collection for between battles, alot of demons and wizards, and nightwish :D

The credit grind is terrible since you don't get good payouts from side missions til mk6 systems and you need an almost maxed ship to do those in the first place. Cost me over 60 million credits to mk6 everything from the shops for my Minotaur. By the time you get missions that pay out over 1 million credits each, you're likely mostly done upgrading your chosen ship unless you go with a dreadnaught.
