I was told that a bloomery will save on Flux use to make steel bars? Can anyone comfirm this and know the break down? Also does the blacksmith's shop work as a bloomery? Thanks

Blacksmith's shop has same functionality as forge and anvil. Bloomery won't save flux as it is the only device to make steel. Steel Ingot = 12 Flux, Lump of Steel = 2 Flux, Steel Bar = 6 Flux

I beg to differ, steel making is not exclusive to the bloomery. It can be melted in the forge and anvil too :)

ok so...after asking around i was told that the bloomery is able to make steel ingots.the ingots are then broken down into bars and you get 5. and using Dabalou's math we would gain 1 steel bar per 12 flux....(NOTE i have yet to test this method but i will be doing so now ingame, after i make a bloomery lol,)

I have made steel ingots in a furnace. 1 steel ingot needs 12 flux. 1 steel ingot can then be made into 5 steel bars. To make a steel bar from iron bars: 6 flux 2 iron bars makes 1 steel bar.

The bloomery has the advantage of a higher temperature so melting is quicker and also holds 4x the amount of a furnace so you can do bigger batches at one time.

Blacksmith's shop, from what I experienced, holds the same amount and reach the same temperature as anvil and forge, but you create much higher quality items. I have managed to create 100 ql equipment and weapons on Blacksmith Shop, opposed to 47 ql on forge.
