Several points to know :
1. If you exit the game, no crops will grow. The game state is frozen.
Every new in-game day, there is a maintenance routine executed by the server in order to make crops and trees grow or die. If the game is turned off, this routine is not executed, so nothing grows. (Note that in-game date is calculated according to your computer's real date : so date will have changed when you'll log in again, but you'll see no change in your world.)
If you play on a multiplayer server, which is always online, you don't need to be present at midnight. That's why the game is advertised on the store page as multiplayer only. It's not designed to be a single player game. If you really want to play it as single player on your personal computer, you must leave the game running.
2. Crops need 4 weather changes (from Fair to Shower or from Shower to Fair) to reach middle state, then another 4 weather changes (from Fair to Shower or from Shower to Fair) to fully grow. Other weather conditions (Cloudy and Snowy), and same weather conditions several days in a row, will not be taken in account. It's well explained in the official FAQ, along with pictures (they'll show you when to harvest) : https://lifeisfeudal.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/214347465-New-crops-mechanics

3. If you want to know the default weather calendar, you can check my guide : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=868434625
4. If you use the /weather command, beware that the weather will be stuck until next server restart. Weather stuck = no growth.
5. I never used the /grow command, but did you try to use it several times ? Wiki says about this command :
Interesting what you say about the weather changes, but i think i did not understand it fully. What about when i change the weather and then log out, log in again and change the weather again, to ignore the server being stuck in a weather condition ?
I mean, when i do that 8 times, would the server accept this as weather changes and my crops would be ripe ?
2. After this, would the server return to normal, without stucked weather ? Or is the weather stuck forever, whenever i use this command ?
Growth ticks occur when the in-game date changes.
Then i try what you suggested
For local server games you find it at:
<steam folder>\steamapps\common\Life is Feudal Your own\server\data\weather\cm_weather1.xml
Here's the version i use for my SP game, it alternates Fair/Shower every day, even in the winter:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ytde2tdnaww8vh6/cm_weather1.xml?dl=0
I recommend to backup the original version before overwriting it; and after a patch you probably would have to apply the change again.
(right click on LiF YO in your library: properties -> local files -> verify integrity of local files)
I don't think the day/weather cycle changes food consumption. It seems to depend on how much you are working. When i idle for a long time hunger barely changes.
as GM use this comand : /growcrops
you need to use this comand on same square 8 times to grow full
you will know when they are ready to harvest (they will change color)
remember that use 8 times the comand if they are 0 grow state ...if you use the comand more than 8 times or crops already on fase 2/3 crops will die...
Good luck on handling with the database stuff... ;)
