Can't apply unlocked gear to Heroes [Probable Bug]

Was trying to apply some trinkets and upgraded armor to my Hero. The armor would double click and apply in the character window. When I hit Apply to confirm my changes, it does nothing.

-They are not One Hero only gear - just some normal T3 Titanium/Glassteel/Iron gear which I can afford.

I are noob so am I missing something? I had applied T2 equipment just fine. The Hero was at least level 8 ...too lazy to go back into the game and check.


Also, is Exit to Desktop broken for anyone else? (It works but gives me a crash message everytime.)

Do you have enough dust? Titanium ect?The apply button has to be lit up white. It tells you at the bottom how much dust ect you need.

"just some normal T3 Titanium/Glassteel/Iron gear which I can afford." ....yep. I have all required resources. I tried it with different heroes with different gear and it wouldn't do it for any. I can apply Edits to Units, however.

I get that crash message most of the time to when doing exit to desktop.

As for your issue, can you apply the equipment to any other hero? Is it just this one that is bugged or all heros? And is this a common occurrence in your games or just this one in particular?

The two heroes I had in the field (Walkers) would not take any new equipment despite all requirements being fulfilled.

In a Roving Clan game I just started...I applied that Crossbow 37 to a hero. Then went back in to apply new armor and it wouldn't apply. So I thought maybe it was because I just assigned the hero to the army but why would it work for the Xbow and not the armor? But that theory is void because the Walker heroes from the other game were not recently assigned.

I have found that if you give a hero a quest item they can no longer have their equipment changed. I assume it is a bug.

Alright, well I think that makes sense because I think each hero had a quest item. I was hoping it wasn't a bug but guess I shall avoid those items and see if I still get the issue.

Hmm, I never altered my heros equipment after giving him a quest item, I will test this out next time I run into one and post back here.

I got a quest item but didn't equip. So far no brokeness.

I have found that you have to unequip the quest item (any quest item) and hit apply then equip the desired items with the quest items and hit apply and this will fix the bug

Hmm sweet, I'll try that out tonight. Too bad I deleted my saves because I was demoralized and found them useless. Oops.

yes.

i found a fix. Unequip all quest item gear. Confirm. then requip everything you wanted to add and the quest item gear if you still want it. Confirm.

works like a charm. but this bug will hopefully be fixed next patch/update.

Crashing when quiting: quit to main menu. then exit game. If your game crashes when you do that then theres something very wrong. :) lol. I would suggest posting on the official amplitude game site in the bug/crash section with an uploaded game save file so they can make sure its not the game causing the issue.
